To all the people who wish to code for this project.
Hey guys and gals,
I received a lot of replies in regards to the project from people who wanted to code. Many of you had experience in a language, but not many had a AS3.0 background. I'm going to throw a few very basic pieces of AS3.0 code up here in the next few days. This will allow you to see some of the syntax for AS3.0, and some of the common things to watch out for in regards to bad code. I encourage anyone wishing to code for this project who doesn't know AS3.0 to read these, and also pick up a book on AS3.0 programming, as I will be listing scripts in the assets list to be completed for you to try to tackle.

Are we going to be using any kind of pre-written library (ie. Flixel)?

I didn't plan on it, I found a lot of the libraries don't contain much outside of physics based collision detection and more advanced code along those lines, which aren't really necessary in the genre we have chosen. If you can recommend one that has good libraries for what we're doing then I'd be more than happy to take a look at it. As for submitted code, if your using a library, which I don't mind if you do, just tell me which it is so I can have it ready and compilable on my side of things.
