We are making a turn-based RPG, here's the theme chosen thus far

Okay, so here are my ideas for the project:
- By the end of the game, there will be two characters in your party. Both will have two weapons and two magics. Both characters will have a basic primary weapon, which they can upgrade and change the colors of. As for their secondary weapons, they'll have a choice between many different types of weapons, which can be bought at stores, found in chests, or any other method we can think of. Secondary weapons can have many different types of abilities, some of which I'll make a full list of later. Their colors may or may not be changeable. Both magics for both characters will work the same way as the secondary weapons, where they can be switched out and will have different abilities depending on the magic. Unlike secondary weapons, though, you can't just go into your inventory and switch out magics. You have to go to a wizard or something crazy like that.
- The second character either won't be able to use special attacks (assuming we have any) or items. He/she will be able to switch to the negative world. The second character's exclusive power is that he/she has some kind of charm where the player will be able to set a magic shape of some sort anywhere on the screen, and any enemy/projectile that ends up inside of the shape someway or another will be effected by its power. The player will not be able to attack with the second character as long as they keep the shape on the screen, and they can make the shape bigger or smaller, using more magic power per turn depending on the size.
- As I've stated before, color combat will be a big system in this game. Attacking an enemy who is the same color as your weapon will damage it double, while attacking an enemy who is the opposite color of your weapon will only give it half damage. Any other attack will damage it normally. There will be six colors for normal enemies: Red, blue, yellow, orange, green, and purple. Some bosses and certain special enemies might have more colors, but those colors will have their own special instructions instead of using the same system.
- You can change the color of your primary weapons (and certain secondary weapons) at some particular store or something. There will be 8 colors available. The six I mentioned above, along with white and black. White will inflict normal damage on all six colors. Black will randomly switch the weapon's damage to match one of the six colors every turn, but its color will remain black so that players don't know its effectiveness.
- This point isn't too important, so it can be changed without too much thought. I've always imagined the overworld of this game having a 2D/3D view, like with Paper Mario or Castle Crashers.
That's what I've got for now. If you have any questions about any other particular details for any subject, just let me know and I'll get on it. As for right now, I'm not sure how much farther I can go into detail without writing a novel, so I just want to make sure I'm detailing important information.
I'll be discussing themes and story in the writing forum with the other writers. We'll see how far we can go into there.
